Substantial increase of traffic on SFR Netcenter POP
With a few members connected, France-IX's point of presence in Marseille receives a trafic of 14Gbps which accounts for a bit less than 10% of France-IX's overall traffic
Equipement’s facelift on Interxion-2 and Telehouse-2
The previous equipment set in place on Interxion-2 POP has been replaced by new switching/routing one with additional functionalities (such as VPLS).
While Telehouse-2 POP received additional equipment to scale up and enhance the redundancy of this site.
Second training in Guinea
Franck Simon, Managing Director at France-IX, gave a second training in Conakry from 8 to 12 April in order to help establishing the first internet exchange point (IXP) in Guinea.
This event was part of the AXIS project, launched by the African Union and managed by Internet Society, whose mission is to create an IXP in 33 African countries.
