400 participants at Africa Internet Summit

France-IX was one of the sponsors of this year edition of the Africa Internet Summit which took place in Lusaka, Zambia on 17th to 21th June. This event met big success with more than 400 attendees and 1000 remote viewers.
On France-IX’s side, the event was the perfect occasion to meet with a wide range of people from government representatives or from internet exchange points.
Congratulations to Bram Fudzulani from Malawi who won the Ipad Mini during the draw.

Equipment upgrades

Picture of France-IX Upscaling equipment

Because Telehouse-2 and Interxion-2 POPs have such a power of attraction among France-IX’s community, we had to upgrade the equipment by bringing in new Brocade MLX16 and MLX8 respectively to such PoPs.

Interxion-2 is now the fourth France-IX’s PoP integrating VPLS features.

Small percentage of IPV6 traffic

ipv6 logo
