FRNOG 18 took place on Friday, December 2nd and gathered more than 300 people in Paris. That meeting of the French operators’ community was sponsored by France IX and F5 as well as Splunk. You may watch the video of that event by clicking on the picture below..

The team also celebrated the second anniversary of its partner, the exchange point of Luxembourg LU-CIX, on the 13th of December during the Online Gaming Forum.

France IX connected that point of presence to its network last September - making it now a total of 9 points of presence - to better reach out to the operators coming from South France, Asia, Middle East and North Africa. The members that are connected to that POP can exchange up to 100Mbps with those based in the region of Paris. However, for any higher flow, the transport between Marseille and Paris is at the charge of the member. Therefore France IX has adapted its pricing for Marseille in order to offer the same opportunities no matter which POP a member connect to.

If you have paid much attention to the statistics of the network the curb of the flow of France IX nearly reached 100Gbps in early December. Since then it has decreased to a flowing level of 80/90 Gbps but it will undoubtedly exceed 100Gbps very soon.
